Have you ever had the urge for brownies and you didn’t have any brownie mix on hand? Don’t lie…you know you have. Trust me, I know the feeling.
And I have searched for an easy recipe to make at a desperate time like that…and I found one that I enjoy and actually tastes even better the next day!
Basic Brownies
1/2 cup BUTTER, melted
1/3 cup UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER
1 cup SUGAR
2 EGGS
2 teaspoons VANILLA
1/2 cup FLOUR
1/4 teaspoon SALT
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8 inch square pan.
In a medium bowl, combine butter and cocoa powder – stir until cocoa is dissolved. Add sugar, mix well. Add eggs, one at a time and stir until well combined. Stir in vanilla, flour and salt – stirring only until you see no more flour (don’t over mix).
Spread into greased pan and bake for about 25 minutes. They are done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. You really don’t want to over bake these!
Cool before cutting into squares.
