So you need an easy last minute treat? I have the perfect thing for you!
Usually this time of year I make Hot Chocolate Spoons to give as gifts. This is the same concept but even easier! It adds even more chocolate and a touch of peppermint to every cup. Once they are made you can use them at home or take them on a tray with hot chocolate mix or put them in a basket to give as a gift.
Chocolate Peppermint Marshmallows
Ingredients
2 oz MILK CHOCOLATE CHIPS
10 large MARSHMALLOWS
2 PEPPERMINT CANDY CANES
Directions
Crush the candy canes in a bag and put the crushed pieces on a plate. Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Dip half of each marshmallow in the melted chocolate. Immediately roll the chocolate half in crushed peppermint. Place marshmallow side down on a plate. Place in the refrigerator to harden. Serve in a cup of steaming hot chocolate and curl up under a blanket on the couch and watch a Christmas movie!! Okay… so that last part is optional but highly recommended!
