First, Becca is guest posting today over at a fabulous blog called Buns in My Oven. Stop on over there to check out her post about Double Doozies.
Second, we need your help and inspiration for the month of March (yes, it’s nearly upon us!) we are doing a 5-Ingredient-Challenge for our Wednesday series.
What’s a 5-Ingredient-Challenge you ask? Well, the inspiration came from the Rachael Ray Show. We are going to do it something like this: we’re asking you, our readers, to suggest 1 simple ingredient. You will be leaving your suggestion in the comments of this post, it’s just 1 ingredient, anything you like (preferably something that is common to most grocery stores). We will choose 5 from your list of suggestions (hence the name 5-Ingredient-Challenge) and combine them into 1 meal.
Each Wednesday, we will ask you to post your ingredient ideas before noon (CST) on Thursday. Then we choose from your ideas and use them to make a meal. The following Wednesday we will reveal the ingredients we ended up choosing and the meal we created using them – aka the final product. We’re excited for a little bit of a challenge and even more excited to see you get involved with us!
To encourage your participation, we will have a giveaway at the end of the series. How do you enter to win? It’s simple…participate by suggesting an ingredient. Each suggestion is one entry in the giveaway. Stay tuned to details on what we’ll be giving away.
This week’s challenge starts…NOW!!!
To get your creative juices flowing, answer these questions (quietly, to yourself):
What’s on your grocery list this week?
What’s your absolute favorite ingredient to cook with?
What’s the one thing you really wish you knew what to do with?
Ready, set, go! Let’s hear it!
(You have until tomorrow-February 24 at noon CST)
