Today’s Step: Under the Sink and the Cabinet Fronts
Take the time today to look under the sink. Make sure it is organized and easy to find the things you need. It is also a good time to make sure that your cleaning supplies haven’t spilled and double check that they are closed tightly so that the kids don’t get into them. THEN… Wipe down the front of all of the cabinets. Things can easily get spilled, splashed, or dripped and go unnoticed.
Since my husband is not the most adventurous eater, he sometimes gets anxious when I “experiment” in the kitchen. So one day he sat down with a stack of cookbooks and Everyday Food Magazines and made a list of all of the things he would like to try. Slowly we have been making our way through that list. This recipe happens to come from that list and was found in the December 2010 issue of Everyday Food Magazine. We served it with salad and potatoes and were very pleased.
BACON WRAPPED CHICKEN TENDERS
Ingredients
8 fresh SAGE LEAVES (I didn’t have fresh leaves, so I used dried sage)
8 CHICKEN TENDERS (about 1 1/4 pounds)
8 slices BACON
1/2 teaspoon EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
Directions
Place a sage leaf on each chicken tender, then wrap each with a bacon slice. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high. Add tenders, sage side down, and cook until fat is rendered and bacon is browned, about 6 minutes. Flip and cook until tenders are cooked through, 6 minutes. With tongs, transfer to a wire rack set on a rimmed baking sheet to drain. ENJOY!

My husband would totally love those. He is not big on chicken, but I think he’d like it wrapped in bacon 🙂
I hope your kiddos enjoy the cinnamon buns!

Made this for dinner tonight with what I had on hand. I used turkey bacon, and once cooked sliced the chicken breast and served it over noodles with alferdo sauce. It was so good!! It helped spice up plain ole’ chicken.
