Four years ago, on Mother’s Day, my daughter was dedicated at church. For her party afterwards my mom and I made these cookies! They were delicious and so easy to make. Also, very fun for the kids to help with too.
Flower Cookie Pops
1 package slice and bake sugar cookies
1 package large marshmallows
frosting, two different colors
tongue depressors
Start by slicing the sugar cookies a half an inch thick. Insert tongue depressors before baking. Bake as directed on package.
After the cookies are out of the oven and cooled, slice the marshmallows into thirds. We made a buttercream frosting, but, you can really use any kind you like. Frost on your first color (ours was pink) and then you have to place the marshmallow slices right away before the frosting hardens. We then used a Wilton bag and tip to put on our second color (which was our yellow).
After the cookies were finished and hardened a bit, we wrapped them in plastic wrap and tied a ribbon around it! They turned out so cute and are really great for any occasion.
