Ice Cream Pie

May 6, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love
I am very excited that we have spent one year sharing some of our favorite recipes with you.  This is definitely a week to celebrate and this dessert will be perfect for any summer celebration.

Okay, I don’t want to sound bossy but you have GOT TO try this recipe.  It is so simple, so of course I love it and it was so delicious.  I actually just finished my piece. The other great thing about this recipe is there are so many options.  It originally called for Mint Chocolate ice cream which is a personal favorite of mine but with the crowd I was serving it to I thought the cookies and cream would be better.   Now I am dreaming of different flavors to try like, butter pecan ice cream with caramel and chocolate topping for a turtle ice cream pie.  Doesn’t that sound delicious?

This recipe can be made ahead and stored in the freezer for up to 2 months.  This would be perfect to have on hand for a last minute family dessert.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

1 9-inch chocolate pie crust

Spoon ice cream over crust. Drizzle chocolate over ice cream.  Freeze for 6-8 hours or overnight. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving.  Pie may be frozen for up to 2 months.

Enjoy!
