Chocolate Hazelnut Cherrio Pops

September 16, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love
With a 10 month old and a 3 year old in the house, it seems like Cherrios are a must.  But lately it seems like they haven’t been interested in them!  So in an attempt to get rid of the cherrios, I went in search of a recipe.  Where else to go but the Cherrios website.  I found quite a few snack mixes that I could have made but the one that caught my eye was this one, Chocolate Hazelnut Marshmallow Balls.  They used Chocolate Cherrios in their recipe, but I just had regular cherrios so we used them!  It is a great way to have a chocolate treat and also get your whole grain.

Ingredients
1/2 cup NUTELLA
1/4 cup MILK CHOCOLATE CHIPS
10 large MARSHMALLOWS
1 1/2 cups CHERRIOS
10 sticks (we used straws that I cut in half)

Directions
Place sticks into each marshmallow.  Pour Cherrios on a plate.  Combine the Nutella and chocolate chips.  Microwave for 30 seconds and stir until smooth. Dip each marshmallow in the chocolate mixture until coated.  Immediately roll it in the Cherrios to coat.  Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until chocolate is set.  ENJOY!

Sounds delicious! I love chocolate covered marshmallows. I’m sure the nutella only add to the flavor! Thanks for sharing on Sweet Indulgences Sunday.
