Rolo Pretzel Turtles

December 6, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love
Yum, Yum, Yum!  Want a holiday treat that is easy to make and share?  This recipe is for you.  Growing up my mom used to make these delicious holiday treats called turtles.  They were so good but took a little time to put together.  This recipe has a very similar taste but you can make them in less than 10 minutes.  Who doesn’t like that?  These would be so cute in a little holiday treat bag or tin.  As I was making them one of my sisters mentioned that she didn’t care for pecans so we decided to try them with another pretzel on top.  They were a great little treat as well and would be a good gift for someone who doesn’t care for nuts.  There really aren’t measurements for this recipe so I will include the ingredients below but you can make as many or as few as you would like.   One suggestion I found was to buy the Rolos at the checkout line with the other candy bars because then you don’t have to unwrap them which makes it even quicker to throw together.

Day 1: Glazed Eggnog Cookies
Day 2: Salted Chocolate Tartlets
Day 3: Peanut Buster Caramel Bars

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place pretzels on cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
Place a Rolo on top of each pretzel.  Place in oven for 3-4 minutes just until Rolos are slightly melted.
Remove from oven and press a pecan on to each Rolo.  Be careful as the chocolate and caramel could be hot.
Place in freezer for a few minutes to harden.
Enjoy!
