I created this Outshine Strawberry Lime Smoothie as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars by Crowdtap.
This time of year it’s not easy to look past the mounds of snow outside my front door and think warm thoughts. Incorporating fresh flavors into our day somehow makes it feel warmer inside…in a mind over matter kind of way. We recently tried Outshine Frozen Fruit Bars and they really helped to brighten up our day. The strawberry one made with real strawberries has me ready to pick them this spring! I was daydreaming about a tropical island after trying the coconut waters version.
Smoothies are a great way to get my kids to eat fruits or veggies they wouldn’t usually be interested in, which for a few of them are really few and far between. Taking an Outshine Strawberry Fruit Bar and blending it up with a few other fresh ingredients made a super smoothie. It had just the right amount of sweetness and the strawberry goodness was the star of the show.
Quick and easy is the name of the game when snack time comes around at my house. It’s been fun, especially on these cold winter days, to mix things up a little bit with some variety in the snack department. They slurped down these smoothies just as fast as I could make them and were begging for more!
P.S. If you’re looking for me between now and spring, I may be hiding in the corner with a Strawberry Frozen Fruit Bar or one of these smoothies trying to think warm thoughts!

We LOVE smoothies around here–the slushier the better! Using a frozen fruit bar as a base is quite clever.
