This refreshing treat is easy to make on a warm summer’s day. Forget the mall, make this Triple Berry Orange Julius (copycat) at home!
Seriously, this Midwest spring is cra-zeeeeee! Please, make up your mind. On Monday afternoon it was 80º, this morning it’s 42º and I’m a little cold in my sweatshirt…it’s May 20th. Could we please just get a week of normal 65º temps?! My kids keep asking what’s the weather like outside today? I can’t keep it straight and they’re confused as to whether or not they can wear flip flops or need a sweatshirt!
This sweet, frosty treat is made for those 80º afternoons, whether they’re in May or September. I refuse to turn on my air conditioning here in Michigan in May, so we’ve been enjoying those hot afternoons out of the house where there is at least a breeze.
When I was in high school I worked at the mall where there was an Orange Julius. My fave drink there was the Triple Berry Orange Julius – so good!! These days I’m now where near a mall with an Orange Julius {#countryliving} so I’ve taken to making my own and I have to say, it’s a really close copycat. And it’s especially refreshing on a hot spring day 😉
TIP – If this makes too much for your crowd to enjoy in one sitting, you can pour the leftovers into a jar or plastic container with a lid and freeze it for another time (make sure you leave room in the container to allow for expansion). Remove from the freezer and thaw on the counter for about a hour. Give it a good shake and enjoy again!
