KIDS AND THANKSGIVING
For my kids and Thanksgiving project I wanted to do something that I used to do with my mom when I was a kid. My birthday is always the week of Thanksgiving, so when I was in Elementary school this is what I liked to take for my birthday treat for the class- TURKEYS!!!
We started with Brach’s Vanilla Creme Drops, Candy Corn and Chocolate Stars, Keebler Fudge Striped Cookies and a bag of Chocolate Chips (not pictured).
Kylah and Kael both were going to make two turkeys so my mom and I had them lay out all their pieces.
Grandma melted some chocolate chips in the microwave for the ‘glue’.
The kids dipped the bottom of the vanilla creme drop in the chocolate and attached it to the center of the cookie.
Then, they dipped the candy corn (for on top of the creme drop) and then added the chocolate star to the bottom.
After letting the chocolate harden, the turkey’s are ready to stand up on their feet (the chocolate star)!
The kids had a lot of fun making these treats and even more fun eating them!
