We have people over almost every weekend for the Iowa Hawkeye game. We have had lots of game day food but sometimes the classics are the one we like the best. This simple recipe was passed down from my Aunt Karen. It is one of those recipes that never is exactly the same but always has the same components.
1 pkg. medium size flour tortillas
2 pkg. cream cheese
chopped black olives
chopped jalapenos
Soften cream cheese and mix in olives and jalapenos. I can usually find both of these at the store already chopped. Olives are in little cans usually by the pickles and jars of olives and the chopped jalapenos are by the mexican food. Sometimes I can’t find them chopped but it really makes it easy if I can.
Spread a couple tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture on a tortilla. Roll it up and slice into 1 inch pieces. Repeat the process until you are out of the cream cheese mixture.
You can make this as spicy as you like and sometimes I add a little jalapeno juice for extra kick.
Serve with a side of salsa. Trust me these one last long at your party so if you want one you better grab ’em quick.
Enjoy!
