Since we usually wake up hungry, speed is a necessity. So, while I am preparing the main dish, yogurt is usually the appetizer! We love vanilla yogurt by itself, but to make it even better, we love to top it with homemade granola. We make the granola at home because it is easy and then we know exactly what goes in it.
Our all time favorite yogurt is just simple vanilla! But lately we have also been trying greek yogurt. It has a slightly different texture and taste but with more protein and less fat, it makes for a healthier option. We top our yogurt with the granola, honey, and blueberries! It makes for a wonderful start to any day!
GRANOLA
Ingredients
4 c OATS
1 1/2 c SHREDDED COCONUT
1/2 c HONEY
1/2 c BUTTER
2 t CINNAMON
1 t VANILLA
dash of SALT
Directions
Combine oats & coconut. Combine the rest of the ingredients and microwave until melted. Pour it over the oats and coconut mixture. Stir until all is coated. Spread on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes, stirring half way through.
