Cranberry Sauce is easy to make at home, the taste can’t be beat and is the perfect complement to your Thanksgiving spread!
I, for one, am counting down the days to Thanksgiving. It is probably my favorite holiday and I can’t ever get enough of the Thanksgiving sides. I know there are so many things to make for such a feast and it seems way easier to crack open a can of cranberry sauce, it really is so simple to make yourself and it can be made several days in advance. See, now you have no excuses!
Cranberries and orange are an obvious pair. You can squeeze fresh orange juice for this recipe if you’d like, but I used whatever bottled orange juice we had in the fridge. After stirring all the ingredients together, you simply bring things to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes. The cranberries will start bursting and the mixture will thicken up a bit. That’s all you have to do, remove from the heat and let cool. Now you have a gorgeous ruby red side dish ready to go for your Thanksgiving feast.
