Place berries, sugar and lemon juice in a food processor or blender. Process until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, discard solids. Place in a jar or small pitcher and chill until ready to use.
For serving: For a standard pint size jar, measure in a small scoop of ice cream and 2 Tablespoons of mixed berry syrup. Stir together. Fill about 1½ cups of sparkling water or soda and add 2 scoops of ice cream. Serve immediately.
Notes
*You can also use this syrup to make an Italian soda - sparkling water + syrup + 1 Tablespoon Half & Half served over ice.
*You can use fresh or frozen and thawed fruit to make the syrup.
